Our corporate responsibility in Scotland

We don’t just recognise our responsibility; we’re doing something about it.

Throughout the 161 offices that make up Michael Page International, we engage and encourage our people to make a positive impact on the customers and communities they work with. We are fully committed to charitable causes and in particular, our corporate charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support.
In Scotland, we’re particularly proud of our people and the way they engage with the community. We are never short of volunteers when it comes to raising funds for charitable causes.

A snapshot of our recent initiatives:

Fun runs
Our Edinburgh office completed the 5km Fun Run and raised £541.
Quiz nights
We raised over £8,000 at our annual charity quiz nights in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
School visits
We send consultants to schools in Edinburgh and Glasgow to show fifth formers how to write a CV and give invaluable interview tips.
Newcastle cycle
Two of our staff completed a cycle of 74 miles in five hours, raising £317 for Macmillan!
Capability Scotland
We are proud to be supporting Capability Scotland, the organisation that does so much for those with disabilities. Our volunteering activities will stretch from working in one of their shops to helping redecorate homes.
Voluntary Service Aberdeen
We painted outbuildings and farm buildings and participated in their fashion show. We have won their inaugural award for Corporate Volunteering.

We don’t just recognise our responsibility, we are actively working together to do something about it. Last year alone we raised over £90,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support through our famous quiz nights, which have been running for nine consecutive years. Through Michael Page’s More Giving Day scheme we have been able to support Capability Scotland and Voluntary Service Aberdeen and use our expertise to give CV advice to Scottish students ahead of them stepping into the working world.
