About Us
Training
As part of EA's drive to become a no.1 people company, the importance of employee training and development at all levels of the organisation is crucial. EA encourage their employees to participate in training opportunities offered both inside through EA University and outside the company that promote personal career development. They also have a brand new training room with the facilities to run a wide range of training.
The business is founded on a unique and hugely important partnership - a partnership between employees and Electronic Arts! Their development philosophy is focused on ensuring that every one of their employees, at every level in the organisation, is equipped and ready to meet and exceed every challenge they face in their work and in their own development.
- Being 'equipped' means that employees have the right skills, abilities and approaches to be the best they can in every area that their role at EA demands today and tomorrow.
- Being 'ready' means that employees are poised to constantly influence and drive the changes that ensure our company grows actively, with the vital spark that keeps the workplace alive.
These two keys are an effective way of attracting, motivating and retaining the brightest and best people. Personal Development has to be at the heart of everything EA do. If they get this right, then they are on a sure-fire path to watching our business develop and burgeon ahead of market need, whilst enabling employees to maximise their potential for the benefit of all. EA's aim is to embark on a voyage of continuous development. This voyage is one EA feel everyone must take together, and one that will continue to drive the growth of the business. This aim directs and defines the culture and should allow the company to deliver or surpass our stated business objectives, as set out in the 'Road Map' at the beginning of each Financial Year. A constant re-evaluation EA's goals and the ways we measure EA's success is an excellent and proven method of keeping both themselves and the organisation fresh, forward-looking and open to evolution.
Destination U
The EA University began in EA's US Headquarters, with the two key goals:
- To be the best people development company in the entertainment industry
- To sustain a high performance culture
It's been a huge success, and so in 2004, EA Europe established its own 'Virtual University'. It was designed to be a framework for learning and development ensuring that we all 'grow' as individuals and as a company - together. Ensuring that every one of you, at every level in the organisation, is equipped and ready to meet and exceed every challenge you face in your work and in your own development.
