Colgate-Palmolive was founded in the United States in 1806. For the first 100 years of our history, our business focus remained there. In the early twentieth century, however, we began to expand aggressively and established operations in countries throughout Europe, Latin America and Asia. Today, many of these Colgate companies are more than 50 years old and are integral to their local economies. Currently, countries with Colgate operations number around 75.
