The Auditor role
- Working as part of a team our auditors are typically responsible for designing and delivering high quality audit work, from developing and delivering an approach to an assignment through to finalising audit reports with the business
- Auditors generally manage on-site activities and relationships during audit work – for example working with the senior auditee to ensure that the scope of work addresses the key relevant risk areas, or that the final report appropriately reflects the work performed and management’s responses
- We operate a flexible resourcing model, so auditors will often lead audits where they have particular subject matter expertise, and may lead teams including other auditors, audit managers or principal auditors
- BP Internal Audit has exacting internal quality standards, and a key requirement in the auditor role is a solid understanding of these and an ability to deliver robust audit work within these standards
