14 March 2012: Michael Page, for the seventh year, has been recognised as one of The Sunday Times 100 best companies to work for in Britain.
With more than 1,000 businesses registering in 2012, Michael Page has leaped 19 places from last year to reach its highest ever ranking placing 39th.
Taking pride in the ability to find and retain the highest calibre of people from a wide range of backgrounds, Michael Page received top scores for management, leadership and personal growth.
Eamon Collins UK Marketing Director at Michael Page said: “We believe in organic growth, so much so that people who join us know that one day they can be our future managers, directors and managing directors. In fact, we’re one of very few organisations that can say that 87 per cent of our directors and above have been promoted from within.”
“We’re a company that truly believes contributions at a local level matter and understand getting our employees involved in community and charity programmes creates a great workplace,” Mr Collins said.
The company already has a well established programme of charity partnership with its employees fund raising more than £350,000 in the last three years in the UK alone for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and Macmillan.
However, Mr Collins said that for 2012 Michael Page would focus on doing even more for the local communities it operates in, reinforcing a commitment which allows each UK employee to have one day per year to help make a difference in their local community.
“If each of our UK staff used their More Giving day, as a company, we would have more than one person off each working day supporting a charity or environment initiative they feel passionate about,” Mr Collins said.
“I am extremely proud that for the seventh time, Michael Page has been named as one of the best companies in the country to work for.
“The level of client and industry recognition associated with this accolade is a testament to the investment we have made in our people, and our focus on building an inclusive environment for people to thrive and grow their careers,” he said.
