PageGroup announces new CIO

PageGroup, the specialist recruitment company, has announced that Rene Berende has been appointed the new Group Chief Information Officer (CIO). Rene will succeed Interim CIO, Dean Ball, who will support Rene in his transition into the CIO role through to the New Year. 
Rene started at PageGroup in March 2014 as Regional IT Director and was previously the CIO, amongst other roles, at Canon EMEA. Responsible for over 400 staff, Rene had strong international experience having lived and worked in many countries across Europe, including Italy, Netherlands, and France.  
PageGroup CEO, Steve Ingham, says: “Rene brings a very practical, pragmatic, straightforward and commercial approach to technology. He has thoroughly impressed the members of the Executive Board since he joined the company earlier this year. 
“I am confident that Rene will provide strong leadership for Business Technology, a clear vision and strategy, as well as a successful rollout of our internal recruiting system to the majority of PageGroup in 2015.”
