Michael Page Professional Services is one of our most established brands, we have been working with accountancy firms for close to forty years and have taken many accountants through their career from a junior to partner level. We recruit a range of roles within this market from a niche fee earning position within the Big Four to a general practice accountant for a small independent firm. We are a national business with offices around the UK from the South Coast to Scotland, with over thirty consultants specialises in recruiting purely for accountancy firms.

Big Four and top 20

We partner with all the Big Four and top 20 firms and we have a dedicated account management structure in order to work effectively in partnership with these organisations. We assist the Big Four, and the top 20 with all fee earning positions, and due to our range of disciplines, we also successfully recruit across central internal functions.

Top 100 and independent practices

We have separate teams who recruit solely for this client base and we have maintained a long-term relationship with small Independent practices, many of which have now grown to be top 100 firms. With our Independent practices we enjoy working directly with the Senior Partner or Staff Partner, we assist with all fee earning and non-fee earning positions.

Value add services

As recruitment experts in the market, we assist and work closely with our clients, and candidates on additional value add services which have included; presenting at clients internal events, hosting diversity and inclusion events; general salary advice; market information, trends and advice; retention and the best and most effective way to recruit.

Job types

We partner with clients across all fee earning job types from junior part-qualified positions, to equity partner positions, and ensure we have the best placed consultant with the relevant amount of experience to assist. We consider ourselves to be market leaders across:
  • Audit and Assurance – many choose a career in audit either for a long term career or to boost their CV before moving to a traditional internal company finance function. A career in audit will stretch ones analytical ability, technical accounting knowledge, approach and understanding of risk, and understanding of different businesses and sectors.
  • General Practice – an alternative to a role in a large firm, roles within smaller firms are referred to as general practice whereby you will be working on anything from audit and accounts preparation, to cash-flow management and taxation issues for SME or privately owned companies.
  • Advisory – fuelled by market dynamics and often seen as one of the most desirable areas to work on within practice, firms often focus on three core service lines: corporate finance including mergers and acquisition advisory, financial due diligence, business modelling and valuations; corporate recovery including insolvency, restructuring and debt advisory work; forensic accounting and fraud.
