Overall, salaries have remained relatively stagnant over the past 12 months and the numbers look relatively similar going into 2013. Candidates are able to command a good pay increase when looking to move jobs and 10% is still seen as the industry standard within financial services. However, candidates are sometimes losing out by staying put when they could command a good salary increase looking externally.
Confidence across the board in financial services marketing recruitment has increased throughout 2012 and hiring has been more common than in parts of 2010/2011. We’re hopeful that the steady confidence rise continues through 2013 and beyond, and salaries rise accordingly.
