Graham Rowe, Senior Consultant

As a Senior Consultant at Michael Page Technology, I am responsible for growing our IT Security and IT Audit practice across the UK.

Having graduated from Manchester University with an Electronic and Electrical Engineering degree, I am passionate about technology. After university, my first position was with Rolls Royce, working on top-secret atomic projects for the Royal Navy submarine fleet. Following five years with Rolls Royce, I indulged my passion for travelling by visiting Asia and Australia.

Returning from my travels, I wanted to set myself a new challenge and entered the world of recruitment. Over the next 10 years, I worked on major accounts, supplying some of the largest companies in the UK, including: BT, IBM, NHS and HBoS. I began by recruiting all IT roles, but, as the IT and recruitment industries matured, I specialised in IT Security and IT Audit. Having now specialised for several years, I have had the privilege of working with some the most prestigious companies in the UK and have built a large network of the most outstanding talent in the country.

While the large multinationals and utility companies grab the headlines, every company has to protect itself from IT security threats – IT Security is identified as the biggest threat facing organisations today. Every organisation depends on IT, but, despite companies investing heavily in infrastructure, training and policies, serious incidents and data breaches occur on a daily basis. Moreover, these risks are not only isolated to external threats but also to employees violating company security policies.
