"It’s been fantastic to see my consultants thrive in their roles, and to know that I've had a hand in their development"

Why I joined PageGroup

I joined PageGroup because I wanted to work for a renowned and well respected organisation and having spoken with the Graduate Talent Acquisition team, I was convinced that the rewarding sales culture was right up my street.

My PageGroup journey

I joined as a graduate consultant in the Reading office and was promoted to full consultant within my first three months. My first year in the role was tough and I needed the guidance and support of my manager and director to maintain my focus and progress. I went on to become senior consultant and the managing consultant in a short space of time and in May 2013 took over management of the Reading team. In August 2015 I was promoted again to senior manager and was awarded ‘Manager of the Year’ for Page Personnel Finance, London & South East.

What are your career aspirations with PageGroup?

I imagine that there are very few FTSE 250 organisations who can boast the fact that their CEO and 87% of directors have been promoted from within. One day, I want to help increase that statistic.

Do you have any advice to anybody thinking about joining PageGroup?

I must admit that I didn’t fully understand what the job of a recruitment consultant entailed until I started the interview process with PageGroup. My advice would be to speak to someone working in the industry to get a first-hand perspective and then decide if the role is for you.
If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your role is ever-changing and you need to push yourself outside of your comfort zone each day, then I would urge you to contact our talent Acquisition team.

What is most rewarding about your job?

Now that I’m a manager it’s been fantastic to see my consultants thrive in their roles, and to know that I've had a hand in their development.
