GBSLEP is a partnership of businesses, public sector, and further and higher education leaders. Our mission is to drive the economic growth of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull area, creating jobs and increasing the quality of life for all our residents.
In order to achieve our mission, GBSLEP has three main roles to play:
Acting as a voice for the GBSLEP area, we use our influence to secure greater funding and powers from the government and to leverage more investment from the private sector, both at home and overseas.
Bringing together existing partners and organisations within the area, we support and guide activity and resources to meet shared priorities.
Using resources directly aligned to the LEP, we invest in priorities that support our mission.
GBSLEP works across nine local authority boundaries to deliver economic growth for more than two million people.
The LEP does not operate in a vacuum. Not only do we work closely with industry, local authority and educational partners across Greater Birmingham but also with our regional partners at different geographic levels to grow the wider economy.
GBSLEP is entering a period of substantial and exciting organisational change. The team comprises of passionate individuals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets, fostering an environment of independent thinking to achieve a common aim.
GBSLEP offer the opportunity for all of its employees to lead from the front to positively influence commercial direction of the organisation.
Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP)'s office is located in Baskerville House, a prestigious building overlooking Centenary Square in the heart of Birmingham. The open plan offices have a welcoming atmosphere, making for a collaborative and sociable environment.
This is an exciting time to join GBSLEP, having recently transferred from Birmingham City Council to a stand alone limited company we are developing our people strategy to attract, retain and develop our people to be the very best they can be.
