Case study

Client brief
Six Town Housing manages the Bury MBC council’s social housing stock of 8,779 properties. They were looking to recruit a Head of Repairs and Maintenance to manage planned and responsive maintenance to the council properties.
Methodology
Michael Page Property and Construction arranged a meeting with the client to discuss the role and job specification, and to advise on any challenges in the market they might face.
Candidate attraction
We used search, advertising, referrals and our database to find candidates.
Candidate selection
The client was holding twelve interviews altogether and all four of our shortlisted candidates were asked to attend.
Outcome
Two of our candidates made it to the final of four stages and it was a Michael Page candidate who was ultimately offered the role. Even better, the client chose another Michael Page candidate to take the role if the first candidate declined on their offer.
Timescale
From client meeting to our candidate accepting took less than three weeks.
Success rate
Our client was extremely pleased with our service, saying:
‘I would just like to thank you for providing us with excellent candidates for the Head of Repairs role. The candidates, including the successful applicant, were exactly the right match, definitive proof that your extensive pre-selection and interview work  paid off.
It is refreshing to work with a recruitment agency that does not simply fire through CV's in the hope that one may be suitable. Your thorough pre-screening certainly saved us a great deal of time.
I was also impressed with your professional approach and particularly with the way that you were respectful of my busy agenda, providing me with space and time to initiate contact with you. There is nothing more annoying than when recruitment agencies continually call and pester.' Click here to read the full case study.
