You will be working for a leading NHS trust based in Essex.

Job Description

The key duties are as followed:

  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to the team
  • Oversee and manage department budget and financial planning
  • Regularly review financial data and support departments with their budgeting
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Implement effective strategies to improve financial performance
  • Collaborate with other department heads on financial matters
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management
  • Handle any financial irregularities promptly and professionally

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • A strong educational background in finance, accounting or a related field
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous experience in a finance leadership role
  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and standards
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
