Job Description

The successful Account Executive - Private Label FMCG (Top 4 Grocers) will:

General

  • Responsible for supporting Key Accounts (Top 4 Grocery Mults and Retailers), developing new business opportunities and ensuring satisfaction and growth of customers
  • Be a strategic thinker with great interpersonal skills, a good understanding of the FMCG market and the pace of it, with ambition to become an Account Manager in the near future.



Account Support:

  • Support, maintain and grow relationships with existing retail brand customers
  • Serve as a key point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Understand customer needs and ensure their requirements are met in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Support Key Account Managers with regular business reviews with customers to discuss performance, opportunities, and challenges
  • Support, develop and implement strategic sales plans with the Key Account Manager to achieve company targets and objectives.
  • Support the Key Account Manager on day to day tasks such as stock reporting/packaging analysis



Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Identify market/customer trends and needs and the competitive landscape
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop promotional strategies and campaigns
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance and report back to the team



Product Development:

  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure clients needs are integrated into new product offerings
  • Assist in the development of Packaging, Pricing and Promotional Materials for private label products



Collaboration and Communication:

  • Coordinate internally (e.g. supply chain, production, finance) to ensure smooth execution of customer demands
  • Support with preparation of regular reports on account status, sales performance, and market insights to senior management
  • Participate in industry events and customer meetings, as required.



The Successful Applicant

The successful Account Executive - Private Label FMCG (Top 4 Grocers) will demonstrate:

Desirable:

  • Degree in Business / Marketing / similar
  • SAP/Power BI



Essential:

  • Experience within the FMCG sector, preferably with retail brand products
  • Understandng of the FMCG market and retail environment
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel as needed (customer meetings/European Head Office)
  • Desire to progress into a Key Account Manager position

  • Basic Salary - up to £45,000 dependent on experience
  • Flexible working hours

  • Hybrid: Usually 2 days in the office / week, sometimes 3 days, dependent on business needs
