About Our Client

Our client is part of a group structure that has reach into a number of different industries and sectors. The area we are recruiting for is the logistics distribution and supply chain arm of their automotive business. They ship parts both original and aftermarket around the world to OEMs and specialist manufacturers. The home base for this role will be in Uxbridge, and there is an expectation to be in the office a few days per week after the lockdown comes to an end. There will likely be some national and international travel too.

Job Description

The Account Manager will be expected to drive revenue growth for the business. This will be achieved in a number of different ways and be supplemented by:-

  • Own the current client strategy in order to maintain and grow wallet spend
  • Implement a monthly business review with all clients - including KPI measurements that are documented and progressed
  • Act as an escalation point between the business and its client base
  • Identify and deliver new business growth; margins, contractual set up, operational requirements etc.
  • Ensure that the needs of the client base are understood and met wherever possible
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to act as a point of escalation with clients for any issues - non-payment, etc.
  • Ensure clients are made aware of changes to service, process changes, etc in a timely fashion
  • Work with operations to look for efficiencies and cost savings in processes
  • Challenge internal stakeholders as required to ensure that the client portfolio is kept happy
  • Demonstrate the ability to work both as an individual and as part of a team where required

The Successful Applicant

In order to apply for the Account Manager role candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:-

  • A degree level qualification - ideally in a business, marketing or supply chain field
  • A demonstrable track record of growing business through a discreet account base
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal plus interpersonal and presentation skills for delivery at C-level
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into future business requirements
  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation skills and a track record of delivering commercial success through driving revenue
  • Proven track record of delivering business growth and managing customer expectations
  • Able to generate ideas and proactively generate and drive business strategies and performance
  • Highly motivated, with an ability to work to tight deadlines whilst prioritising multiple tasks
  • Strong appreciation of budget management and financial KPIs
  • Able to challenge robustly whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism

What's on Offer

The successful candidate can expect a base salary between £45,000 and £55,000 plus benefits
