Job Description

The Account Manager will have responsibility for engaging with all existing and historical accounts throughout Scotland. Your role is to win back lost accounts and to increase the spend from existing customers by selling the wider portfolio offering of products. You will form world class relations with your client and boast a solution based, consultative sales approach.

You will also be expected to negotiate existing contracts with a view to improving the agreed terms for my client.

The role will involve travel throughout Scotland as and when required.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate is a self-driven, outgoing individual with knowledge and understanding of the Oil and Gas industry. He/she exhibits strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities along with a strong sense of perseverance and a "can do" attitude. They easily establish trust, credibility, and respect with local clients, and effectively communicates customer needs and expectations with the necessary internal teams/functions. Has the energy and desire to respond quickly and can efficiently handle a high volume of sales calls to multiple contractors on a daily basis.

To be able to fulfil this role successfully , we are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with the following profile:

  • Passion for Safety
  • Education at "Bachelor" level or equivalent through demonstrable experience
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in B2B Sales or Project management/ Customer management/ operational management preferably within an industrial environment
  • Rental sales experience advantageous
  • Experience in the sector of professional protective and safety equipment or in tooling, tools, industrial products or knowledge of legislation and regulations in the field of safety is a great asset
  • Commercial, result-oriented and dynamic attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in negotiation and in relationship management
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Microsoft Office package, experience with is a plus
