About Our Client

My client is an Accountancy, audit and business advisory firm. They are dynamic and commercially minded, taking all their clients current needs into consideration, whilst enabling growth. They are forward thinking and offering solutions in a changing world to a variety of interesting clients.

Job Description

As an Accounts Assistant, you will have the following responsibilities:

Preparation of statutory accounts.

Being responsible for service delivery and adding value where appropriate

Bookkeeping on a monthly and quarterly basis both in-house and at clients

Completion of VAT returns and corporate tax returns

Ability to manage a portfolio of clients

Ambitious for progression

Flexible role

Excellent training programme

Assisting on audits

The Successful Applicant

At least 2 years experience working in an Accountancy practice as an Accounts Assistant

Gained experience with preparation of year end accounts, processing VAT returns, performing tax computations, amongst other ad hoc duties.

Part qualified AAT/ACA/ACCA qualification or be Qualified By Experience

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong IT skills and experience with Sage, Xero etc.

A strong commercial awareness.

Audit experience is desirable but not essential.
