This firm is a small but growing Accountancy Practice in Oldham. With around 70 clients and rapidly expanding, the Managing Director is looking to find an individual who wants to grow with this business.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities of Accounts Assistant:

-Assistance with preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns

-Assistance with preparation of statutory accounts

-Preparation and completion of VAT Returns

-Preparation and submission of weekly/monthly payroll

-Accounts administration

-Bank reconciliation

-Credit card reconciliation

-Management of sales/purchase ledgers

-Posting journals

-Making and posting payments

-Monitoring daily communications and answering any client queries under guidance

-Reporting directly to the managing director

-Answering the office landline

-Ad hoc office duties

The Successful Applicant

The successful Accounts Assistant will have the following attributes:

-Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately

-Analytically thinking and problem solver

-Competent IT skills, proficient with excel, word, outlook

-Experience on sage business cloud

-Extremely organised

-Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information

-Administrative skills

-A 'can do' attitude
