Job Description

  • Process and record invoices accurately and promptly.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing payment runs and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and support the accounting team with administrative tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to address queries and ensure smooth transactions.
  • Support month-end and year-end processes as required.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Provide assistance with ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:

  • A solid understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
