About Our Client
You will be working for a national connections adoptions company who work with independent connection providers (ICP's) to adopt and operate both gas and electricity networks. They work with a number of consultancies, developers, house-builders and principle contractors to provide a reliable and high quality service always to industry standards and specification.
You will report to an electrical network engineering manager and provide advice and support for the construction and adoption of electrical networks throughout the North West of England.
You will undertake site inspections and surveys ensuring assets are constructed in accordance with both technical and safety standards.
You will liaise with independent connection providers to ensure any construction issues are identified through to a successful resolution.
You will carry out audit checks on all aspects of electrical network construction including sub station installation, main laying and cable jointing, then update the necessary business systems
You will provide advice to ICPs on health & safety, quality assurance and best practice matters
You will conduct regular post adoption inspections in accordance with industry guidance and procedures
You will provide first response for faults and liaise with service providers
You will ensure safe working practices
You will manager routine correspondance with internal and external stakeholders to control and deliver on site requirements.
You will provide monthly reports detailing audits completed, issues and trends
You will provide on site support for ICPs
You will liaise with distribution network operators when required
The Successful Applicant
You will have a certification in Electrical engineering, preferably a HNC/HND
You will have related experience within utilities and electrical distribution
You will have good attention to detail and be thorough in your work
You will have experience in risk assessment, auditing and risk management
You will have good communication skills both verbally and written
You will demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the work you do and be self motivated to work with minimum supervision.
You will preferably have a good understanding of the electrical industry registration scheme
