Job Description

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements.
  • Support statutory reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Help with VAT, corporation tax returns, and other regulatory filings.



Reconciliations & Ledger Management

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including bank reconciliations.



Month-End & Year-End Support

  • Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
  • Assist in the year-end audit process by gathering and preparing financial data.
  • Work closely with senior accountants to ensure smooth financial close processes.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field.
  • Proficient knowledge in accounting software and MS Office.
  • Strong understanding of credit control procedures and debt collection regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
  • An analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
