About Our Client

My client is a leading 3PL specialising in premium retail and fashion across multiple multi user operations in the UK, recruiting for an Assistant General Manager for their site in Kettering.

Job Description

This Assistant General Manager position will require you to head up a large team within a fast paced distribution operation. You will be second in command to the General Manager and lead the site when they are not there.

You will need to continually review process and procedure in order to grow and develop the site, whilst keeping things in line with the commercial expectations of the customers on site.

You will be directly responsible for the relationships with the customer from a commercial and operational perspective.

You will lead on all health and safety for the site and keep up to date with requirements.

You will be responsible for recruitment, training and development of all new staff, as well as working with HR on any grievances or disciplinarys.

The Successful Applicant

For this Assistant General Manager position you will need to have previous experience of managing operational warehouse teams of more than 150 people within a busy 3PL logistics operation.

You will ideally have experience in a multi user warehouse and have experience of catering to the commercial needs of multiple customers on one site.

You will have excellent communication and people management skills and a sound knowledge of health and safety regulations within a distribution operation.

You will have experience of working to tight budgets and setting KPIs.
