Job Description

  • Assist the Buyer in managing purchasing and inventory processes.

  • Source suppliers, negotiate prices and oversee the purchase of goods and services.

  • Analyse market trends, identify potential suppliers and assess their ability to meet the company's needs.

  • Monitor stock levels, order and coordinate deliveries and maintain accurate records.

  • Liaise with other departments to ensure that the purchasing process runs smoothly and efficiently.

  • Analyze pricing and supplier performance, and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Ensure that all purchases comply with quality and safety standards.

  • Participate in regular performance reviews.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration or related field.

  • Experience in an administrative or purchasing role.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.

  • Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes.

  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and laws.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related software.
