As the market moves towards a new dawn with legislation changes promoting sustainability and environmental impact at their very core the business are looking to add a talented individual to their manufacturing centre and headquarters located East of Leeds.
Reporting to the Commercial Director and working alongside the heads of every other department the Automotive Project Manager will be responsible for designing, promoting and ultimately carrying out a controlled NPI process for the company's next flagship product range.
You will start by understanding the current procedures in place in order to tailoring a specific process to the needs of the customers, the internal stake holders in the business and the global supply chain.
Using your experience of a completing a similar role previously you will then bring the business together taking a hands on role in the design stages and supplier selection to deliver the new product range to market in a timely fashion.
The Successful Applicant
You will be able to demonstrate previous experience in successfully leading NPI/NPD projects with global supply chains and a demanding customer base.
A formal, ideally degree, qualification in engineering alongside formal training/certification in Project Management will be highly advantageous.
Previous functional knowledge of CAD systems and ERP/MRP systems would be a significant benefit for the successful Programme Manager.
The Automotive Project Manager requires strong commercial acumen. This will be assessed at interview and previous experience negotiating contracts/ new supplier integration would be highly advantageous.
The ability to demonstrate delivering new products into a highly regulated industry and exposure to systems such as PPAP and APQP would be beneficial.
