The client is a reputable Housing provider in the South of Birmingham, offering an exciting permanent opportunity to become a subject matter expert across both building safety and sustainability/eco.

Job Description

  • Act as the primary lead in building safety, ensuring compliance with legislation and maintaining the safety of property assets.
  • Drive the implementation of the Environmental and Sustainability Strategy, overseeing decarbonization and net-zero initiatives.
  • Maintaining compliance and sustainability investment programs over the next 5, 10, and 30 years.
  • Ensure building safety obligations are met and updated with precision and governance.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, policies, and procedures for relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and audit fire management plans and evacuation procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and specifications.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Building Safety and Sustainability Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in Social Housing with a focus on building safety and sustainability.
  • Strong knowledge of building safety regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
