Job Description

  • Conducting business requirements analysis
  • Creating functional specifications to inform development requirements
  • Developing procurement specifications and supporting the purchasing of new solutions
  • Contributing to technical option appraisals
  • Evaluating business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
  • Conducting data analysis
  • Creating user accepting test plans and assisting with testing
  • Monitoring and managing deliverables and ensuring timely completion
  • Supporting the go live of new functionality, including training to relevant staff groups
  • Serving as a liaison between IT and project stakeholders
  • Facilitating meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
  • Contributing to the prioritisation of initiatives based on business needs and strategic priorities
  • Supporting the Head of PMO in providing coaching and mentoring to Junior Business Analysts
  • Inputting to resourcing decisions for the Business Analyst team

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in business analysis or a related field
  • Knowledge and experience of business analysis tools and techniques
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Experience managing stakeholders
  • Good grasp of modern technologies and tooling
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualifications or directly relevant experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Decisive and able to challenge the status quo
  • Diplomatic with the ability to influence others
  • Flexible approach to work, including occasional out of hours work
