Job Description

Income generation

  • Bring in significant income against stretching KPIs to support commercial activity across the organisation.

  • Work independently to manage a portfolio of high-value customers and products - continually build this in-line with the agreed strategy.

Business development

* Support the Senior Business Development and Sales Lead, and the Business
Development Team Manager, to deliver a responsive business
development strategy, which ensures growth, development and financial
sustainability across the oraganisation.

  • Work closely with the charity's departments and teams to assess their commercial opportunities, assess inefficiencies and propose
  • improvement as well as identify areas for growth and development of commercial activity.
  • Work with the Customer Relations Manager to identify key target markets for lead-generation activity and new product launches.
  • Support reviews of our pricing strategies.

Tenders and partnerships

  • Oversee tender responses - including identifying opportunities and projectmanaging responses

Develop, lead and manage complimentary external partnerships and bids

  • for the purpose of strengthening and growing the organisation's commercial offer.

New products/audience development and insight
* Review, analyse and assess business, market and sales data to ensure new
product development and our commercial activities remain successful.

  • Identify relevant target areas and conduct research on potential opportunities

  • CRM, Marketing and Lead Generation

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and CRM teams to put in place
    automated CRM systems to identify sales opportunities, to increase the
    value and volume of sales

  • Advance CRM skills across the Business Development and Customer

  • Relations Team to ensure cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to existing
    customers are maximised.

  • Work with the Customer Relationships Manager and Customer Relations
    Admin team to ensure there are robust processes for the escalation and
    follow-up of enquiries.
    * Project manage new business projects both in the UK and internationally to
    create a pipeline of work.

The Successful Applicant

  • Consistently able to deliver to target, on budget and within timescales.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to manage a diverse portfolio of projects with competing demands.
  • Able to prioritise workloads.
  • Ability to identify and seize opportunities.
  • At least 5 year's experience in providing an expert service across an organisation in relation to income generation and or business development
  • Experienced in successfully bringing senior people together from across a large organisation to work collaboratively
  • Experience in working with CRM systems to plan and develop sales pipeline
  • Proven success in working to targets and achieving results
  • Tender and bid submission experience
  • Experience in managing a diverse portfolio of project/activities at any given time
  • Experience in budget management and reporting
  • Conducting commercial research
  • Experience in budget management and reporting

Education: Degree level (or equivalent).
