As their business development director, you'll lead the charge in their quest for scale and big wins.
You'll produce a clear sales and marketing strategy and deliver this alongside the division leaders and your team.
The role will allow you to build, manage and inspire a new Sales and Marketing team and you'll be expected to drive the direction of client growth, ensuring clients fully understand the value of their strategic and creative capabilities across the 3 core areas of expertise, and then match their challenges with the relevant offering.
As a proven business development director you'll love the thrill of the chase but be tired of one dimensional new business and selling the same stuff. You must understand and be well networked across the marketing and digital space but be frustrated and want much more.
You'll be able to map markets and business and have a sharp eye and ear on what's hot and where time should be spent to unlock opportunity and spend.
It goes without saying that as the growth director you'll thrive in front of clients, be respected for your knowledge and all round pedigree in the market. Crucially you'll be remembered for what you say and how you say it.
This role needs someone who wants to win. They have a clear 5 year plan to grow and sell. There are no grey areas.
As the business development director your role is much more than new business. They want a person that understands the commercial challenges of a business and the roles sales and marketing play to achieve growth.
This person needs to clearly understand the sales and marketing function so they can have B2B / B2C conversations at a C Suite level
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate a recent, consistent track record of building a successful pipeline of new business within an agency or relevant creative services business. You'll be highly networked, and confident and experienced in dealing at senior management/C-Suite Level.
The role is fully remote for the foreseeable future and it doesn't matter too much where you're based as calibre is more important than location. You can be based anywhere in the UK be it London, Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham or even further afield. It really doesn't matter. You will be expected to build, run and motivate a sales and marketing team remotely. You'll need to be in the office from time to time but mostly you'll be spending your time in front of clients and creating opportunities for consistent growth.
