Job Description

As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating and managing a pipeline of net new business opportunities
  • Growing the revenue base across the software portfolio via new business sales, cross selling and upselling
  • Exceeding sales revenue targets and other critical success metrics
  • Building business-class relationships and nurturing trust with key decision-makers
  • Qualifying opportunities in terms of chance of success, competition, timescales, procurement process and win criteria
  • Identifying opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to incremental sales.
  • Using your knowledge of the market and competitors, to identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators

The Successful Applicant

As a Business Development Director, you will have:

  • A proven track record of success within a software sales or public sector sales environment
  • Experience in a New Business role selling technology solutions into the local government and/ or health market
  • An understanding of how and why customers buy digital transformation software in the local government and/or health market
  • Experience hitting or exceeding challenging sales targets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to expertly demonstrate a range of software solutions.
  • An ability to solve problems and act on own initiative
