This role will be based at our Glasgow office with occasional travel and will report directly to the General Manager and Managing Director, receiving support from the logistics department.We are seeking a highly motivated, adaptable, and resilient individual who remains calm under pressure. You should have excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, along with strong problem-solving abilities. A high level of commercial acumen, including financial proficiency, is essential. Additionally, sound analytical capabilities and a broad perspective on sustainable, shared value creation are required. Expertise in negotiation and managing lead and sales funnels is also necessary.Achieve budgeted profitability, meet commercial KPIs, and manage sales targets while ensuring margins are protected. This includes opening new accounts and maximising sales potential in your area, as well as continuously assessing account forecasts, monitoring, and analysing trading performance.Build and nurture strong relationships with all relevant team members within your customer base, while delivering and maintaining exceptional customer service for both existing customers and prospects.Serve as an ambassador for our portfolio by effortlessly promoting our wines, contributing sales ideas to the marketing team, and engaging in wine-related activities such as presentations, training, and consultancy services for clients.Develop and present new business strategies and actionable ideas to the team each month, and manage and execute tenders on behalf of Tan&Ns Ltd.Collaborate with educational initiatives by hosting and taking ownership of regional wine tastings and wine-led events.Work with a CRM to develop a structured routine for customer visits and gain experience in other areas of the business, including technical aspects, imports, and logistics.Travel to suppliers/producers and company offices as required to support various aspects of the role.The Successful ApplicantWine knowledge is essential, with beneficial experience in wine sales, hospitality, or WSET.
