Our client is a global, commercial and contract furniture company who work with clients in & across the education and commercial office space to provide furnishings.

Job Description

  • Understand and articulate our client's brand strategy and act as a resource to clients
  • Carry out market research to identify sales opportunities within defined geographic area. Plan effective approach tailored to the client's unique needs, business drivers and desired outcomes
  • Identify key decision makers and meet with clients to promote solutions and services
  • Manage project opportunities through all phases from initial evaluation and quotation to post-installation follow-up and support
  • Prepare customer proposals with the support of our client's
  • Bidding department and negotiate agreements
  • Manage warranty claims and complaints in a timely manner
  • Act as a brand ambassador, represent our client at key business meetings, trade shows and other related events and conferences
  • Utilise Salesforce (CRM) to manage all sales activity, ensuring that information is up to date and accurate
  • Collect feedback from current or potential customers and share with internal team

The Successful Applicant

Our client need an incredibly strong relationship builder and someone with experience of working with architects and designers. With a strong understanding of invoicing and tenders, are client need a commercial operator with connection to the design industry who enjoys the account management piece whilst looking for relevant cross-sell / upsell (growth) opportunities. You will be educating dealers, making technical suggestions and be very client-facing.

  • Experience as a business developer in the contract furnishings industry or similar
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Architecture / Design (preferred)
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proficient in CRM and project management software tools
  • Project management expertise
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills and great negotiation skills
  • Act ethically and gain trust and respect of others

What's on Offer

Our client is looking to pay c.£45-55k on the Base Salary, with bonus information and benefits to be discussed at interview. Our client encourages hybrid working but this is naturally a very client facing role. Office location is Clerkenwell.
