About Our Client
Market-leading in their field, with a long track record of bringing specialist quality products and services to the market. A medium to large sized business with UK and global presence.
Working as part of a wider Purchasing Team, as a buyer some of your responsibilities will include:
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined prior to sourcing.
- Lead evaluation, sourcing, negotiation and procurement of goods.
- Supplier relationship management.
- Supplier performance and change management.
- Manage purchase orders within the ERP system.
- Manage and support costing.
The Successful Applicant
The sucessful buyer will be self-motivated, use initiative, be commercially astute and have a strong ability to work as part of a team. The ability to develop strong relationships with internal customers and external suppliers is paramount - with the skills to achieve the best outcome for the business, optimising customer value, while minimising total cost of ownership and risks.
The candidate will present excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines whilst prioritising workload in accordance with the businesses current needs. Market knowledge is essential whilst offering a positive and proactive attitude to complete tasks to a high standard, with a results orientated approach.
