About Our Client
The client is one of the largest UK retailers who famously known for their vast selection within their nation-wide retail stores. A well-established brand that are continuing to grow year on year, the client offer a fantastic workplace for all of their employees.
You will be working alongside the Category Manager to implement buying plans and objective across the category to ensure that the business are staying at the forefront of the latest trends. This will include reviewing the existing performances and identifying potential suppliers for the category to improve efficiency for the brand. As buyer you will identify new products, create briefs and be fully involved in the product development stages.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in buying, ideally from a general merchandise background and has experience in improving and creating supplier relationships. The role has a lot of responsibility so someone with good time management and the ability to make critical decisions is key.
What's on Offer
This position offers a candidate the chance to work on a 6 month fixed term contract within one of the largest retailers within the UK. You will gain great exposure to a large category that will require you to make key influential decisions for the brand. Basic salary is dependant on experience but ideally up to circa £50,000. There are also a vast range of perks and bonuses on offer for the successful candidates.
