My client is a family owned import specialist, launching over 100 new products a year and supplying distributors across the UK, and more worldwide through our Export department
Job Description
Engaging with factories in the UK, Europe & the Far East.
Negotiating purchasing terms and support with factories through innovation and change to optimise company revenue.
Supervise a small purchasing team
Coordinate our exciting and extensive New Product Development Programme
Sourcing new factories for existing and new product categories
Conduct product group reviews & competitor analysis
Fully responsible for stock replenishment on selected product groups - ensuring at all times that it meets the company's requirements.
Engage with internal stakeholders and work collaboratively with other members of the team
The Successful Applicant
Extensive negotiation skills
Have a resilience to focus on reducing business costs
A self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks
Ability to communicate at all levels and positively contribute within a team environment
Manage supplier relationships and keeping abreast of any pricing or service issues
Excellent attention to detail with high levels of precision, communicating clearly & succinctly at all levels.
Problem solving and strong initiative to think laterally and find solutions
