About Our Client

My client are a global industry leading business that supply large Blue-chip companies across the UK.

Job Description

  • Alignment with the Procurement Operations Lead, Purchase Requisitioners, Regional and Global Sourcing Leaders/Leads
  • supporting plant management team in the daily issuance of purchase orders/blanket orders/scheduling agreements in an efficient and timely manner in order to support the day to day operational requirements
  • Performing sourcing transactions incl. capex negotiations/projects with value up to 150K$
  • Effective support of the day-to-day transactions in respect of existing contracts and guidelines
  • Focus on procurement process & systems for continuous improvement and simplification of tasks
  • Ensure that all purchase related documents are in full compliance to the DOA (Delegation of Authority), aligned to the commercial terms as defined by Sourcing
  • Lead, compliance to Payment Terms, and vendor management initiatives (e.g. supplier consolidation)
  • Provide assistance to other functions on purchasing procedures, procurement policy, and contract information
  • Reconciliation on payment issues to suppliers
  • Monitor supplier/contractor performance to ensure compliance with all contractual terms and conditions.
  • Communicate with Procurement Supervisor (Manager Center of Excellence and Procurement Operations Lead) on recommendations to resolve vendor performance issues
  • Coordinate with the Procurement Operations Lead on cost savings projects and implementation of projects
  • Coordinate with Global and Regional Sourcing Leads on execution of Sourcing Strategies
  • Being part of regional competence teams to support category based sourcing
  • Full support of supplier management activities (Supplier Quality and Relationship Management - SQRM)

The Successful Applicant

  • University or College degree in Business, Economics or comparable education
  • Target oriented work style with a high degree of organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, orally and in writing
  • Language Skills - Fluent English (German beneficial)
  • Ability to abide by Procurement policies and Delegation of Authority
  • Very good analytical skills, f.e. to conduct spend analysis
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, and cross functional team members
  • Minimum 5 years business experience
  • Profound experience in process analysis, standardization and optimization
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office 365 and SAP MM
