Job Description

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify and source materials, components, and services needed for our manufacturing processes. Collaborate with suppliers to secure quality products within budgetary guidelines.

  • Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication and collaborative partnerships. Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback for improvement.

  • Negotiation Skills: Use your negotiation expertise to secure favourable terms, pricing, and conditions. Drive cost savings while maintaining quality standards.

  • Purchase Orders: Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal processes. Track order status and coordinate deliveries to meet production schedules.

  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, planning, and logistics to ensure materials are available when needed. Mitigate potential supply disruptions.

  • Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market fluctuations, and supplier dynamics to make informed procurement decisions.

  • Cost Optimisation: Continuously seek opportunities to optimise costs through supplier negotiations, alternative sourcing, and value engineering.

  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure purchased materials meet required specifications and quality standards.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
