The Category Analyst will be responsible for assisting in developing marketing strategies and programmes which will position Mayborn as category thought leaders, drive strong return on investment and sustainable revenue, margin EBITDA and market share growth. The successful candidate will achieve this by interrogating weekly & monthly brand and category performance data and shopper / retailer insights and assisting in developing 4P plans (product, place/presence, pricing & promotion) that can be delivered with their mass retail partners.
The Category Analyst will work with the local and global marketing teams, to ensure that relevant product - which will grow the category's profitability, enhance the tommee tippee brand, and delight their consumers - is available, promoted on-shelf, driving strong rate of sale, in their chosen distribution outlets.
From a strategic perspective, it is crucial that the candidate adds value by regularly analysing shopper/retailer research findings and brand/category performance in order to identify key retailer and shopper issues and opportunities for priority customers.
Finally, the Category Analyst will work with global & regional brand teams to identify appropriate action plans and to track and monitor the compliance and impact of promotions and in-store execution plans and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
The Successful Applicant
The right candidate for the Category Analyst role will be a highly numerate professional with a back ground in Analysis. You must have the ability to analyse and interpret complex and multiple sources of data to identify issues, opportunities, insights and recommendations and also be commercially minded, a strong influencer and dynamic with your deliverance of findings.
Being resilient is a fundamental factor, combined with the ability to work under pressure and make the correct decisions to deliver cohesive findings to key stakeholders.
