The client is a housing association who have been involved in building and maintaining homes for rent or for sale across London and the South of England for over half a century.

Job Description

  • Support senior category managers in delivering strategy for wider category, as well as taking ownership of various subcategories, including tendering and managing framework agreements
  • Liaise with stakeholders to understand requirements and manage expectations and needs in line with procurement objectives
  • Undertake category and subcategory activities as directed by line management
  • Communicate with contract management team to ensure consistent and compliant behaviour regarding contract management
  • Supervise successful contract implementations and attend contract review meetings to support contract management team in ensuring supplier requirements and performance are being delivered in accordance with SLAs and KPIs
  • Follow up with contract management colleagues on actions resulting from performance review meetings
  • Maintain and further develop customer and supplier relationships under best practice contract management model
  • Effective coordination of category activity to ensure delivery of overall team objectives
  • Support management of and report on supplier performance
  • Identification of continuous improvement opportunities and taking appropriate action
  • Support ongoing commercial and risk management
  • Support business as usual activities of team

The Successful Applicant

  • Experienced in creating and delivering category strategy
  • Knowledge and experience of running projects via PCR 2015 and OJEU framework
  • CIPS qualified/desire to study CIPS
  • Experienced in performance monitoring and reporting on policy, project or SLA requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT knowledge of current category platforms as well as MS Office
  • Experienced project manager
  • Experience of pre and post commercial administration of contracts and managing supplier performance
