About Our Client
Our client, a manufacturer of a portfolio of leading branded drinks have a position for an Indirect Category Manager to join the team. The work is fast paced with many interesting projects to support in the business within the scope of responsibility as you ensure the delivery of solutions to deliver best cost and ensure value add in all transactions for a range of indirect procurement's.
Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, the Indirect Category Manager will play a key role in developing and executing a rolling strategic procurement plan to maximise the deliverable savings from business areas, working closely with key business stakeholders to ensure you understand their business objectives and priorities, and include them in your overall plan. You will deploy your commercial and market knowledge and experience to deliver an efficient sourcing approach, providing market insight and analysis, and running competitive and professional tender processes
Develop category methodology, plans and strategies to deliver commercial benefits for the organisation
Development of a Strategic Sourcing methodology and approach that delivers against overall category strategy
Provide support, advice and guidance for business stakeholders to ensure excellence in contractual/purchasing matters.
Lead and support supplier negotiations focusing on the commercial elements of the project
Develop a regular Governance and reporting framework for each project to demonstrate delivery against the agreed savings target
Implement an appropriate Supplier Management approach, provide ongoing Supplier Performance Management and Supplier Relationship Management for key suppliers
Support key business strategies and projects associated with any category and the management of RFI/RFQ processes and activities in support of these strategies and projects
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment of managing senior level internal and external relationships as well as comprehensive negotiation skills and strong commercial and business awareness to deliver business solutions.
