Job Description

  • Develop and implement Procurement strategies across Hard FM categories
  • Be flexible and agile to ensure key stakeholders are provided with a sufficient level of support
  • Lead the end-to-end tender process
  • Obtain value for money when procuring goods and services
  • Provide expert advice on Procurement matters to internal teams
  • Drive continuous improvement within the Procurement function
  • Work effectively and efficiently with a proactive approach to any given situation
  • Ensure all purchasing matters adhere to the organisations regulations

The Successful Applicant

A successful Category Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in Procurement, Public Sector desirable but not essential
  • Some knowledge of Hard FM categories (NEC3/JCT)
  • Open to learning JCT/NEC3/Legal Contracts
  • Open to personal development
  • Stakeholder engagement, negotiation and management skills
  • Experience leading a small team
  • PCR2015 experience is desirable but not essential
  • A track record of delivering cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Strong knowledge of Procurement regulations and policies
