About Our Client

The client is a pharmaceutical organisation based just outside the London area, and are growing their procurement team and are looking to expand their procurement management structure.

Job Description

  • Drive efficiency of procurement across EMEA
  • Apply procurement best practice
  • Run end to end procurement projects in given areas of category specialism
  • Manage stakeholders and vendors effectively
  • Provide training on procurement policies and systems
  • Encourage procurement use across various departments internal to the business
  • Create and implement procurement strategy across appropriate categories for which the individual is responsible
  • Assist with procurement activities as required

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience of procurement at senior buyer/category management level
  • Experience running end to end procurement processes in different categories
  • Global/international remit in at least one of previous roles
  • Self-motivated
  • Team player
  • Confident in dealing with different stakeholders and managing various requirements
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to absorb and condense and analyse information
  • Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organisation
