The organisation is renowned for its commitment to creating sustainable communities and providing excellent services across the UK.Job DescriptionAs a Senior Category Manager you must have experience in Public Sector Procurement (PCR2015 becoming PA23). You will also have experience of end to end Procurement delivery from stakeholder specification to contract award and management.You will ideally have worked across multiple categories but (desirable) FM, Assets, Capital, Construction or JCT Contacts.You must be passionate about social value in procurement and how to get that into more procurement's and contracts in to the organisation proving social value and purpose. You will become the social value expert for the organisation as you drive this via various projects as well as with you key decision makers.You will need to be proactive, self-motivated, passionate and ready to engage stakeholders and get good procurement's done. Essentially, you will need to be a great peoples person.Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise value for money.Foster strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.Analyse market trends to inform procurement processes.Oversee contract management to ensure compliance and performance.Drive social value outcomes through procurement activities.Maintain procurement documentation and systems.Promote sustainable procurement practices.Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals.The Successful ApplicantA successful Senior Category Manager and Social Value specialist you should have:Proven track record in public sector procurement procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing and category management. You would have end-end category experience.Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of analysing data and identifying opportunities for cost savings.Thorough understanding of procurement best practices, market trends, and legal requirements.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Produce spend analysis and procurement information tailored for different audiences to monitor performance and facilitate decision making.Demonstrable knowledge of procurement and of social value within procurement.Support the development of a robust supplier base for the procurement of goods and services.Demonstrate excellent communication skills when interacting with internal and external colleagues.You will live in the North of England as you will attend a monthly meeting in the NW or/ and Yorkshire (Multi-site)What's on OfferA competitive monthly salary between £45,000 and c£50,000 with annual increasesExcellent holiday leave benefits.The opportunity to work in an organisation committed to social value and who are growing.
