Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for various product categories
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs
  • Ensure compliance with company's procurement policies and procedures
  • Monitor and report on category performance metrics
  • Provide insight on market trends and supplier capabilities
  • Develop team members through coaching and mentoring

The Successful Applicant

A successful Category Manager should have:

  • A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Proven experience in a procurement role within the FMCG industry
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and develop a team
