Job Description

The candidate chosen for the position of CFO, reporting to the CEO or MD, will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships.

Responsabilities:

Manage expenditures, prevent costs from getting out of hand, and help ensure that the company stays solvent during its challenging early years;
Develop and implement strategies from dealing with rough financial periods to the best ways to handle explosive growth;
Build a strong foundation that will support the business as it grows;
Oversee data collection and then help making sense of the available information, generating the kind of data-driven insights that will allow being a business stratego adviser;
Guiding funding: manage the due diligence and financial planning required to attract investors;
Preparing the company for the next stage: a long-term strategy to prepare the company; for all possible eventualities and ensure a smooth transition;
Overseeing the fundraising process.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate has proved skills in:

Financial aptitude: guide a startup during the challenging early years;
Strategic thinking: a creative and visionary CFO is instrumental in helping the organization find a path toward long-term goals that may seem unobtainable;
Tech abilities: strong understanding of technology, pursuing process automation;
Fluent Knowledge of Italian and English is a mandatory;
10+ years of experience in Finance with solid experience in digital startups;
International network of financial entities, especially VCs;
An undergraduate degree is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is a plus;
Be a strong communicator;
Stand out as a leader;
Fit within the company culture;
Act as a true business partner;
Aim for maximum impact;
Focus on opportunities more than risks.
