CNC Brake Press Operator - Letterkenny

As a CNC Brake Press Operator, you will play a key role in the production process by setting up and operating CNC brake press machines. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in CNC machine operation, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to produce high-quality components within specified tolerances.

The main remit of the role will encompass the following duties:

• Set up CNC brake press machines based on product specifications and engineering drawings.
• Install and align tooling to ensure accurate and precise bending.
• Program CNC controls to accurately bend sheet metal and other materials.
• Adjust program parameters as needed to achieve desired results.
• Load materials onto the CNC brake press machine and secure them in place for bending.
• Monitor material feeds to ensure continuous and efficient production.
• Operate CNC brake press machines to bend sheet metal and other materials according to project requirements.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary.
• Perform regular quality checks on bent components to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
• Identify and address any issues affecting the quality of the finished products.
• Conduct routine maintenance on CNC brake press machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs to the maintenance department.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating CNC brake press machines.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to prevent accidents.

Essential Experience / Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Brake Press Operator or similar role.
• Proficiency in CNC programming and machine setup.
• Knowledge of materials, tooling, and bending techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
