Job Description

  • Lead and manage procurement activities in line with public sector guidelines
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Identify and implement cost saving opportunities within the supply chain
  • Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with relevant regulations
  • Support the development of procurement strategy and policy
  • Manage and mentor junior team members in the department
  • Conduct performance evaluation of suppliers and develop improvement plans
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations

The Successful Applicant

A successful Commercial Consultant should have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Experience in managing procurement activities within the public sector
  • Strong negotiation skills and a commercial mindset
  • Excellent understanding of public sector procurement regulations
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing procurement strategies
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
