Job Description

The Commercial Sales Director will:

  • Foster strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Utilise a consultative sales approach, understanding client needs and tailoring solutions to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Establish and to assess the effectiveness of business development initiatives.
  • Manage and develop a 50M plus rev portfolio
  • Provide regular, detailed reports on sales performance, market trends, and other relevant metrics to executive leadership.
  • Oversee the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to deal closure, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and objectives
  • Cover a UK sales territory selling into distributors but also influencing the end-users utilising a push /pull process.

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing internal sales team, fostering a proactive and results-driven culture.
  • Drive the expansion of our business by exploring new markets, product lines, and revenue streams.
  • Evaluate and negotiate strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations to enhance our market position

The Successful Applicant

The Commercial Sales Director will have:

  • Proven experience successfully managing distribution, ideally in the construction hire or related industry.
  • Demonstrated success in growing business and commercial departments, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with distribution routes to market and construction hire space is highly desirable.
