About Our Client
Our client is a global automotive manufacturer operating from a world-class assembly facility
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading global manufacturer.
As the Commodity Manager, responsibilities will include management of a high value commodity package including development of suppliers; Achievement and reporting of Company targets on cost control, quality improvement and lead time improvement; Development of partnership relationships with vendors; Work with suppliers to implement Company Cost Management Programme and ensure Six Sigma projects are defined and implemented; Understand commodities managed at multiple levels and develop short, medium and long-term commodity strategies; Identify and lead a number of cost reduction projects; And manage a complex and varied workload, ensuring attention is maintained on key actions.
Due to the nature of this role, it will be based on-site full time.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of a Bachelors degree or working towards a professional qualification.
Having CIPS membership and being Six Sigma Greenbelt certified will be highly advantageous.
Previous commodity purchasing experience will be highly advantageous.
You will have strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills, ideally with good quality, engineering, process and materials background.
