Job Description

There are three newly created Communications Business Partner roles, focusing on customer-focused operations, property and social & environmental impact. The Communications Business Partners will lead the delivery of strategic communications advice and support within the business areas, delivering a client-focused approach to creating solutions that help colleagues communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and develop a network of internal and external partnerships to ensure that the objectives of the organisation are delivered. Support colleagues in building their own external relationships by providing strategic advice and support. Become a trusted strategic advisor for colleagues, and ambassador for the business and an advocate for customers.
  • Plan and Produce the highest quality creative content, in the context of strategic communications support and to deliver business objectives. Invent new ways of getting our message across whilst aligning with their branding, style and values.
  • Develop and deliver external media plans and content, in the context of strategic communications support and to deliver business objectives
  • Develop and deliver social media and digital plans and content, within the context of strategic communications support and to deliver business objectives

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Relevant experience in delivering communications within customer service/consumer communications, property or social & environmental impact
  • Demonstrable experience of a client-focused approach to strategic communications, providing drive, challenge and creativity
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with an ability to win the trust and confidence of partners and provide strategic communications advice with credibility
  • Experience of designing and implementing strategic communications plans and campaigns, across multiple channels, to deliver business objectives
  • Experience of devising and delivering media strategies, including preparing media releases and building relationships with journalists
  • Experience of devising and delivering social media strategies, including using social media to engage and communicate with key external audiences

What's on Offer

£35,950 recruitment rate moving to £38,050 after successful completion of 6 months probation.
