Job Description

Principal Accountabilities:

* Horizon scanning daily, updating the regulatory monitoring tracker with all publications reviewed

* Flagging regulatory updates to all relevant managers in a regulatory update and requesting confirmation from those managers as to whether the change does impact them and if action has been or will be taken

* Providing MI to confirm regulatory monitoring activity and the number of changes impacting the society

* Analysing and updating existing compliance policies and related documentation taking into account any changes/ updates

* Communicating compliance policies and guidelines to Management and designated departments

* Providing technical support by providing detailed reports and guidance where needed. Meeting with key stakeholders and joining project meetings where needed

* Annual review of Compliance policies to ensure that they are fit for purpose and incorporate any changes made by the regulators

* First point of contact for queries regarding Health Shield suite of contracts. Escalating to the Company Secretary and / or Compliance Manager/ Director of Compliance and Risk, where needed

* Completion of Supplier questionnaires, liaising with other departments where neededThe job holder will also assist the team with other day to day Compliance related tasks including:

* Logging and responding to data breaches and data subject access requests in line with company procedures

* Logging and responding to any complaints received by the Financial Ombudsman Service within set deadlines

* Assist with the approval of financial promotions, regulatory disclosure documents, and with the production of bespoke text in partnership with the Marketing Department

* Completion of standard Tailored contracts in the absence of the Compliance Administration Support Officer

* In-depth knowledge of industry compliance requirements and standards

* Excellent communication and presentation skills * Works well under pressure, prioritise tasks to manage deadlines and be a self-motivated team player

* Able to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders

* Ability to formulate compliance policies, procedures, and related documentation

* Advanced analytical abilities

* Effective research skills

* Experience of working in a Financial Services Organisation

* Experience of regulatory monitoring

* Experience of the creation and delivery of Compliance based training
